So sorry to hear about “Uncle” Ross’s passing. I have so many fond memories of spending time with him and Doreen, Randy and Libby as a child, and of Dad (Gord) and Ross hunting and fishing together. My thoughts are with Randy, Libby and Joyce at this sad time. Love Cath

Libby and Randy, may I extend my deepest condolences on the passing of your dad. Ross was a wonderful guy who, in times past, it was easy and enjoyable to spend time with discussing sports, like golf or hockey, or his latest activities outside in the natural world. The rural lifestyle fit him perfectly and I know he revelled in the many years he shared life there with Doreen and in the time since her passing. Ross was just the person he appeared to be—no more and no less; without pretence and willing to pitch in with anyone who needed his hand to help. I will remember him fondly.

We have been cottage neighbours of Ross and Doreen for 25 years and they were wonderful people. We were saddened when Doreen passed away and now very sad that Ross will not be there now. Hopefully his beloved "Jenny" has a wonderful new home in her twilight years. I remember so fondly watching Ross one day skin a beaver pellet with the skill of a surgeon! He was an amazing man - who looked after our property when we were not there. He has left an empty spot on the Moon River Road and the Bala Community. You sure will be missed Ross. Love, Ian and Andrea
