My love and hugs to you all as you say your good byes. What a wonderful, sweet, loving, kind-hearted and fun-loving man, that we will truly miss. Such a special uncle to me. Now he can find peace in heaven and will probably be putting a smile on all the faces there!

My deepest condolences to the entire family. I'm sure Albert is up there making everyone cry of laugher and roll their eyes at his jokes- enjoying crokkets and stamppot together. I'm sure he's up there telling everyone what a menace all his girls are (jokingly of course), with all the love in his eyes! Now he is somewhere peaceful (hopefully with the million dollars he always jokes about). May all of you find that love and peace moving forward- he will never be forgotten.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all especially on Friday. I worked with Albert (Dad) for many years in the Greenhouse and we had so much fun together it was a true bond that we made. He will be missed. OX

The City of Barrie has lost another of the "good ones". Albert's tireless work ethic and appreciation for not only the job he had, but the beauty that he worked with, taught those of us that were in his presence, that in his words " we have it good here". On behalf of the group of us, we pass on to you the Vanderhorst family our sincerest condolences on the passing of Albert. We know he is in a better place, and may he rest in peace.
